Witness the colorful world of Pokémon through the eyes of a young trainer in Pokémon Sword. This role-playing game is specially designed for the Nintendo Switch handheld game console. Pokémon Sword for Nintendo Switch introduces you to a new region called Galar that is inspired by the United Kingdom. In the game, the primary objective is to challenge and dethrone Leon, who currently holds the Pokémon League Championship title. Alongside the game antagonist, there several other competitors and gym leaders who also hold ambitions to get their hands on the championship title. Catch up to 81 new Pokémons as well as their 13 variants. Apart from roaming in the open world, you have an option to select the Camp mode for interacting with the captured Pokémon and cooking different curries for various bonuses.
A New Land to Traverse
Pokémon Sword for Nintendo Switch brings you to the world of Galar that is based on the United Kingdom. A fully open world with dynamic weather called the Wild Area is presented to you where various Pokémon species roam. In the north of Galar are the snowy mountains. A steampunk-style urban area is located at the center of the map, which borrows its inspiration from the Industrial Era of Great Britain.
Exciting Story and Co-op Gameplay
The Pokémon Sword game begins your journey as a Pokémon trainer in Galar, where you have to climb the Pokémon League Championship ladder to defeat the current titleholder, Leon. Apart from the campaign, the game has co-operative raids in the Wild Area. In these co-op raids, you have to battle a Pokémon taking over the gym alongside other Pokémon trainers.
Pokémon Gyms and Side Quests
This Nintendo Switch game allows Dynamaxing and Gigantamaxing for your captured Pokémon. Both these abilities let your Pokémon to grow larger in size to get the upper hand in the game. If you want to take a break from the Pokémon championship, you may check out the new feature called Poké Jobs, where you can complete various tasks such as constructing and cooking. On completion of these tasks, you will receive rare items and gain experience that comes in handy as your journey progresses.
